Raja Ampat Islands - Indonesia
Raja Ampat (meaning: Four Kings) is an archipelago comprising over 1,500 small islands. It encompasses more than 40,000 sq. km. of land and sea, which also contains Cenderawasih Bay, the largest marine national park in Indonesia.
According to Conservation International, marine surveys suggest that the marine life diversity in the Raja Ampat area is the highest recorded on Earth.[2] Diversity is considerably greater than any other area sampled in the Coral Triangle composed of Indonesia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea. The Coral Triangle is the heart of the world's coral reef biodiversity, making Raja Ampat quite possibly the richest coral reef ecosystems in the world.
1,309 fish species, 537 coral species (75% of all species that exist in the world), and 699 mollusk species are recorded here, the variety of marine life is staggering.

Salt Hotels in Salar de Uyuni - Bolivia
Salar de Uyuni attracts tourists from around the world. As it is located far from the cities, a number of hotels have been built for accommodation. Due to lack of conventional construction materials, many of them are almost entirely built with salt blocks cut from the Salar - including walls, roof and furniture.
The first such hotel, Hotel de Sal Playa, was erected in 1993-1995 in the middle of the salt flat, and soon became a popular tourist destination. Many more hotels and hostels made out of salt were constructed later. Hotel de Sal Playa was previously covered on Amusing Planet.
